“There is no greater feeling than to be part of a vision and see it materialize from the drawing board into a beautiful venue; but what truly puts the heartbeat into our venues is the collaboration from a collection of different people and cultures.”
In the ever-changing and dynamic environment of Las Vegas, spending 18 years with a company is a feat that is seldom accomplished. Joining Hakkasan Group in 2002, Alma Beal rose from her position as Financial Controller to become the Director of Global Treasury in 2014. She and her two daughters became part of the Las Vegas community in 1996, where Alma served in the accounting departments for Station Casinos and MGM Grand Hotel and Casino before becoming part of the Hakkasan Group family.
Q: What originally attracted you to Hakkasan Group?
In my first interaction with Hakkasan Group, I learned about the company’s plans for the future, and it was at that moment I realized I needed to be part of those plans. I wanted to help turn that ambitious vision into a reality. Over the past 18 years I have had the privilege to help so many of those dreams come to life, and I’ve worked with the best in the business to do so.
Q: Why do you like working at Hakkasan Group?
I love working at Hakkasan Group because I feel like part of a family. We are a young company, so the growing pains can be challenging at times, but who better to go through them with than family? The people here are what make the company great.
Q: What is your favorite Hakkasan Group venue and why?
I have two favorites: Hakkasan Restaurant in Las Vegas and the Terrace at Omnia Las Vegas. Hakkasan Restaurant has the perfect blend of excellent service, cool ambience, and amazing food and drinks. Meanwhile, the best view of the Las Vegas strip can be seen from the Terrace at Omnia. You’re close enough to feel the energy from the Strip but far enough away to appreciate it.
Q: What is your most memorable Hakkasan Group moment?
My favorite moments are the ones when I tell people where I work and their faces light up. They’ll always tell me about their experience at one of our clubs or restaurants. It makes me feel good to be a part of someone else’s memorable moment.
