As executive vice president of food and beverage at Hakkasan Group, Derek Silberstein oversees operations and developmental strategy for the company’s legendary roster of nightlife and restaurant venues. Derek plays an integral role in the company’s day-to-day business strategy, leading a departmental staff of over 2,000 employees and spearheading the company’s international expansion.
During the course of his career at Hakkasan Group, Derek has coordinated the acquisition and integration of Pure Management Group, The Light Group and Enlightened Hospitality Group. He has helped generate over $300 million in annual revenue for Hakkasan Group and advanced the company’s growth in regions such as Southeast Asia, United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Mykonos.
Derek began his career as director of catering, sales and operations at The 200 Fifth Club and Tribeca Rooftop. In 2000, he joined the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas as director of operations.
