Angela Lester’s executive career spans more than 20 years in the hospitality and gaming industry. As the current Vice President of Business Development for Hakkasan Group, Lester oversees all marketable opportunities for the expansion of its entire portfolio of fine-dining restaurants, nightclubs and dayclubs. Since starting with the company in 2013, Lester continues to serve as leader in developing new business and strategic partnerships, facilitates company-wide services and capabilities, and collaborates with investors and executive counterparts to maximize growth in all development areas.
Lester built the foundation of her career by working her way up through the corporate ranks in hotel and food and beverage operations at Bellagio Resort & Casino, The Mirage Hotel & Casino and Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. Given her extensive resort experience, Lester additionally consulted for the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel in Monaco, assisted in the opening of Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi and was directly involved with Bellagio earning the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award for the first time. Lester’s role as an original CityCenter team member in 2006 allowed her to take on the position of General Manager of the Vdara Hotel & Spa where she was responsible for the non-gaming, boutique hotel selection process. Prior to joining Hakkasan Group, Angela assumed the role of Head of Brand Development and Operations for Caesars Global Living (CGL) in 2011, the non-gaming global hospitality division of Caesars Entertainment, where she handled all aspects of brand and hospitality development including brand creation, marketing, design, concept development and operations globally. During her tenure with CGL, Angela successfully created and launched the global brand and design standards and platforms for multiple Caesars brands.
Serving as key member of the executive team for Hakkasan Group, Lester is a figurehead in the company’s global strategic direction as it continues to push the boundaries of fine-dining, nightlife and daylife and overseeing its expansion into a global hospitality brand.
