The Award-winning Global Cantonese Restaurant Brand Debuts its First Location in Turkey inside Mandarin Oriental Bodrum
Global hospitality company Hakkasan Group in partnership with Alfardan Group and Astas Holdings, today announced Hakkasan Bodrum, specializing in modern Cantonese cuisine, is now accepting reservations ahead of its open-to-the-public date of Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Hakkasan Bodrum, located at Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum is an open-air restaurant, featuring an outdoor main dining room, lounge and bar area that provides sweeping views of the Aegean Sea. Hakkasan Bodrum will be the 10th location to open worldwide.
Founded in 2001 in London, Hakkasan celebrates Chinese cuisine using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients with a contemporary flair. The Bodrum location will be no different and will hold true to the brand’s menu theory, celebrating classic Hakkasan signature dishes such as Hakkasan’s signature Peking duck along with other classics like;
Crispy duck saladwith pomelo, pine nut and shallot
Roasted silver codmade with Champagne and honey
Grilled Chilean seabass in honey
Smoked beef ribs with jasmine tea
Stir-fry black pepper rib eye beef with Merlot
Hakka noodle made with shimeji mushroom, beansprout

At the helm of the kitchen is veteran Hakkasan chef, Executive Head Chef Sky Wong Kum Choy. Born in Malaysia and of Chinese descent, Chef Sky Wong Kum Choy has accumulated over 25 years of culinary experience with Cantonese cuisine including various culinary positions within both Hakkasan and Ling Ling restaurants. Throughout his culinary career, Chef Sky has crafted his skills in kitchen operations and personnel management within several international hotels and restaurants located around the world, from Europe to the Middle East as well as the Asia Pacific. He has a passion for traditional Asian cuisines with inspirations taken from his travels that are reflected in his dish creations which are personalized with a local touch. He has a passion for Cantonese cuisine, an expertise in preparing live seafood, and an aspiration to share his Hakka roots in his culinary creations.
